From Shy Girl to Social Worker Afra's story is one of transformation and growth. Initially shy, her time at UCHE helped her develop effective communication and interpersonal skills through collaborative projects with classmates. This experience encouraged her to express her opinions more freely, resulting in a more outgoing and talkative personality. During her internship in the hotel program, Afra engaged with a diverse range of individuals, including families, couples, and celebrities. These interactions provided her with a deep understanding of people's stories and needs, sparking her curiosity about their experiences and prompting her to reconsider her career path. Through these encounters, Afra discovered a strong passion for serving others and helping those in need, leading her to shift her focus to the social welfare sector. Throughout her studies and personal development at UCHE, Afra recognized her unique qualities and potential, aspiring to use them to impact and change others' lives. Ultimately, she chose to pursue a career in social welfare, applying her interpersonal and service skills learned in the hotel program to broader community service. Afra firmly believes that personality can change, and the key lies in whether one is willing to take the first step toward transformation.
